Have been doing some research on the best travel pack for my RTW trip. Will be spending 2 months in Israel, Jordan, and Egypt, then 3 months in SE Asia. Plans also include six months to a year of teaching english in Asia. I have narrowed my choices to Eagle Creek but am torn over what size would fit me best. I certainly want to pack as light as possible but the fact that I may be gone for upwards of a year or two, makes me lean toward the larger pack. Choosing between the Explorer LT at 69L w/ 20L day pack, and the Ultimate Explorer LT at 88L, and a 20L daypack is my dilemma. I am 5'10, 195 lbs, so rather average size and strength. If anyone is knowledgable on these packs or would suggest a totally different option please contribute your thoughts. Thanks a bunch.

I own the Ultimate Explorer LT and think that it is just right for anything beyond a two week trip. Less than that and it's too big.
