Okay I normally don't get excited about customer service, I usually assume I am going to get lousy service when I go into a store. However when I went to the Travel Country Outdoor Store in Orlando, I was amazed at the level of service I got. Not only did these guy know there stuff, but they are actually Outdoor/Travellers themselves. It made for a great experience getting our gear for our 2 year trip! Since they too travel, they actually had real experience with the stuff they sold. I wonder if all travel shops are like this or did we just get lucky? We did go to two other travel shops in the area and they were aweful, seemed they were annoyed we were even shopping in their store! The only down side was we spent $1300 dollars, a little more than we wanted too. Anyway just thought I would share my thoughts on the store.

Travel Country Outdoors is a venerable specialty retailer as opposed to a "big box" store (Dicks, The Sports Authority, etc). I worked with those guys when I have worked with a couple their vendors. This is why one seeks out a specialty retailer, as opposed to an REI or EMS.
