does anybody have experience charging their batteries while hiking? Like try a Solar charger

I saw Sean (the big bootie) on Kili with a solar charger. But the weather is so foggy, rainy and grey that I wonder if the charger will see the sun.

I was given one as a gift but never used it since it didn't come with the right adapter for my phone. Check to see if hte adapters will fit yours before you buy it.

hey mate

I use an iSun solar charger for my eletronics when i'm going on extended treks - it's a good little solar unit with 12V output which works great at charging camera batteries etc.

I dont know about normal phones, but it charges my satellite phone battery over a 5-6hr period without any issues.

It comes with little attachment points so you can attach it to the top of your backpack lid for charging something whilst you're on the move.

I bought it from my local outdoor store.
