anyone recomend a good bivi bag?, i,m looking for a 'hooped' one at a reasonable price

Also i,ve pretty much fallen in love with the Lowe Alpine ladies appalachian rucksack but don,t want to buy it until someone who has one can recomend it or a similar 70-80 litre ladies rucksack.

If you've fallen in Love with it then just go ahead and buy it. A recommendation from someone else should really have little pertinacne over your personel feel for the bag, my prime examlpe, new bag two years ago came highly recommended it's a top of the line gregory but it doesn't fit my needs for a bag that size and I aviod using it at all costs. As far as the bivy goes I've never personally used one as I've alwayshad recomendations to stay away but I am definately going to be purchaseing one shortly. Cheers~T

Well put. Don't listen to experts, sales clerks, Travel Gear Blog writers. Your back wants comfort.

On the other hand, you shouldn't have to put up with pertinacne. A good dermatologist should be able to prescribe something for it.

As far as Bivy bags, I can't stand them. My esteemed colleague Nick loves his bivy sack. But then again, he's a Brit.
