I will be flying into San Jose and would like to head straight to Tamarindo. I will be traveling with 2 surfboards and need suggestions on whether I should try to find transportation as soon as I land which will put me getting into Tamarindo after dark or should I stay in San Jose one night and then head up North. I also could use advice on cheap places to stay and how hard it is to hook up with a cheap apartment or roomate once there. Would like to stay as long as possible on my budget. Thanks. Jason

sounds like a good idea to stay the night before you move on as you are arriving so late.

This site has lots of info on cheap hostels etc, hope you find your answers Smile
