Hi, I really want to see the lava! Are there any night tours for this in Arenal? I'll be staying at Cabinas El Castillo. And I don't know if I'll be able to really view the lava from there. Any info appreciated, leaving soon!

I go to Arenal area on business quite often but I don't know of any night tours to the volcano. Shouldn't be too tough though.

Anyway, your best bet is to check with your hotel first and then the local tour operators which you should not have any trouble finding in La Fortuna, about 30 minutes away from La Castilla. There are several of them in the centre of town.

The volcano has been active recently but the weather is a big factor at this time of year. So many times I've been up there and the summit has been clouded over for days. Don't lose hope tho' - the weather changes at this time of year give you a pretty good shot at some great viewing!
