I bought a one-way ticket to Honduras Nov 9th since I'll be travelling overland through-out the rest of Central and South America. Will anyone give me trouble with the fact it is 1-way? My flight is with American Airlines. The reason I ask is that I flew one-way into Taiwan last year on Canadian Airlines and the airline made me buy a return ticket. Is it possible to buy a bus ticket before I leave?
Also, I'm travelling solo so if anyone is out that way, drop me a message.

Mary. I went through this same fear coming to Belize and made it successfully. My cover story was that I was going to bus it back through Mexico and fly out of LA. Never had to use that story because they just waved me through. I wasn´t wearing dreads and was neat and I really don´t think they cared that much. Get into the middle of the pack off the plane and they will just be trying to shove you through.

That said, I made a similar post about this a while ago and was immediately hit with several stories about people who had been turned bac. Thew stories all included countries in Europe, but I guess there is a chance.

Here´s another thing I thought of.- I went to a Flight Centre and got a one way estimate back from Panama City that they print up, and carried that with me to show that I was looking into coming back from somewhere. Again, they never asked me, so what the hell.

Great idea about printing out an estimate! I'll do that when I get to the airport. When I went to Taiwan I bought a refundable return ticket. But, it took about 6 months to get my money back and it was really expensive.
By the way, did you get your yellow fever shot abroad?
