hey, i have five weeks of freedom coming up in july and the place i'm most interested in going is costa rica. but is it worth during the rainy season?

i know it'll be cheaper and less touristy and thats a major bonus, but i am a sunworshipper so a bit skeptical.

any answers much appreciated

I spent the month of July, 2002 in CR. It was great, sure it rained a lot, but there were plenty of beach days - mind you the water is pretty rough during this time. I also returned this past Christmas and recommend going during the green season - There were a lot more toursist and higher costs at that time. Just be prepared for the eternal damp!!
