I am currently in Copan and thought I would post some updates.
A. I got 18L for 1USD at the border. The bank is paying 18.9 but charge a service fee.

B. Don´t pay more than 5L for motor taxi within Copan, 10L to the ruins and 20 to places further out

C. The ruins now charge $15 USD to get in and an additional amount for the Museum whihc incidentially is magnificant.

D. Agua Termales charges $2USD to enter which gets you to the larger pools that are not very hot. If you want to go across the river to the warmer and more spectacular pools it is an additional $10USD

E. Macaw Mountain is wonderful- $10 admission and 20L mototaxi (tuktuk) from the Plaza.

F. The weather has cleared and it is bright and sunny here.

Cool. I loved Copan Ruinas, probably even more than the ruins themselves. Were you coming from Guatemala City?

Yes, I came from Guatemala City and took the bus to Chicamula. I then made a big mistake. Instead of waiting for the Vilma bus I took one of the small vans. The driver asured me they were going to El Florida. After wandering around the countyside(at one point we had 29 people in the little van) he handed me off to another driver who took another hour to El Florida. Apparently the Vilma bus takes less than an hour.
