Hi guys! I am new to BootsnAll and will be heading to Costa Rica in two weeks. I am travelling with a friend for the most part but I will be on my own for 2 days. I have never been to Costa Rica before and am wondering how long it takes to travel from Arenal to Jaco or Montezuma during rainy season? I will also stop in Tamarindo, is there other destinations I should check out? I am flying out of Liberia, so not going to San Jose! Well Thanks for the input!

For either of these destinations you'll go through the central valley then head to the shore. It's about 2.5 hours back to San José from Arenal then another 2.5 to Jacó or 5-7 to Montezuma depending on whether you have to wait for the ferry or not.

¡Pura Vida!

If you're going to La Fortuna for Arenal, can I just strongly recommend the Baldi hot springs. If you've never experienced a bar at hot springs, imagine sitting in a huge hot bath, on a bar stool, ordering a beer.
