I arrive in Perth on Sunday (15th) and i was wondering if anyone can advise on a decent, and preferably cheap place to stay in Perth. I'm not really sure how long i'm going to be there, probably just a few days.
I also surf (well, still learning), so near the beach would be handy.

Hi Mulkers, I stayed at the YHA in Wellington Street. Very clean, good facilities, they had just opened the new hostel which was originally St. John's Ambulance. Staff are very good and you can organise tours at "backpacker" prices. They were $99 as opposed to anything from $130 - $160.

Free CAT bus goes past there. Do you need any info re Perth transport etc?
