I'm trying to work on a website about the city of Adelaide, South Australia, and I need help.
It's a website for people who like Adelaide, who either live here, or plan to come and visit. (You don't have to *love* it, and you don't have to think it's perfect. But you can't hate it.)
So, a question to those of you who live in Adelaide, or who have been to Adelaide (please indicate which is the case for you in your answer)
Oh and your answer may end up on a website, so by responding you're giving me permission to use it. Smile Thanks.

What is/are your favourite places to eat in Adelaide?
Why (in as much detail as possible) ?
If you can, where is it?
What type of people would you recommend it to? (for example: families, students, first class travellers, backpackers on a budget...)

G'Day Aussiegirl,

I live in Melbs but I've been to Adelaide a couple of times. The only place that I could recommend would be the pub cum restaurant underneath Quest Apartments on Pulteney Street - think it's called Quest Mansions apartments they're at 21 Pulteney Street. You can access it by the lift or come in off the street.

We stayed there for a week and I gotta say their meals were beaut. Ten dollars from memory for roast of the day - sometimes it was pork others we had beef. And there's a big screen telly which most of the blokes sit around watching the Footy. It was Footy season when we were there. Up the Bombers.
Good old-fashioned Aussie tucker well cooked served with a smile.

Bar staff were real beaut too. Blokes gave you a decnt amount of plonk in your glass none of the pissy little amounts like some places. Oh and they made bonza cocktails too. They had one called "ugly fuel" which was this glorious green colour geeze it was a good drink tasted real good too. And something else forget the name sorry, but a most disgusting colour sorta like mud you know? But the taste - that was superb.

Good layout - you could either sit along the walls or in the middle which is where we sat. Only cos the rest o the tables were taken. Good service good food and a good atmosphere. Apart from the fact it was a licensed premises you could take the kiddies there. No pub brawls no trouble.

Haven't been to Adelaide for a few years now - the last time we enjoyed a meal at , think it was an Italian Restaurant - on the marina at Glenelg. Great food, great views of the marina - I really loved this place - sorry I can't remember the name, then again it may not now be there.
