Has anyone just ever camped on the beaches in Fiji? Is this even possible? If so which beaches?

After reading post and doing some research, looks like going with awesome adventure is a good deal but stuck as what option to pick 1.package or 2. the bula pass. I will look into cost figures between doing each of them and which is more bang for the buck.

What islands and hostels can people recommend?

Sorry if this post contain information that could be found in others.

What kind of travelling are you into?

i.e.: backpacker, resort, party, local interests, etc...

I love getting my hands dirty and backpacking is a nice way to see the country.

I do enjoy pampering myself as well with resort but giving budget hostel will do perfectly, and I wouldn't mind camping a few days to experience that part of the trip. I would want to party but its not the most important thing because I only see myself party in order to hang out with new people and getting to know them. I would love to meet the locals and learn a thing or two about their culture and what not.

And remember also that those beaches are not public space, they all belong to an individual or a group and you'll have to negotiate permission to stay there or things could become a little fraught.

A lot of resort places allow you to camp for much cheaper if you bring your own tent and it includes meals as well. I know that there were a couple people doing it at Oarsmans bay when we were there.
