Be careful esp. if your a girl on you own having a drink in The Sidebar at the Wake-Up Hostel in Sydney. My drink was spiked. I was drinking on my own and thought I was safe sitting right at the bar chatting to the Bar Staff. Didn't take long before I was was chatted up and spiked by a guy who pulled up a stool next to mine. Before I knew it I was falling over on the Dance floor and then taken up to his room...this is within 40 mins. It wasnt until the next day I realised what had happened. I thought I was a girl who would recognise if I'd been spiked (Ive been a clubber for years). drink with people that you've spoken to in the day and try and stick with other females...keep an eye on each other!

it isn't just the Side bar at the Wake-up Hostel to be careful off. You can get your drink spiked anywhere - the main thing is to make sure you watch your drink at all times. Do not leave it nor let someone you don't know get you a drink. Even be wary of the bar person - watch them closely.
