I hope to start traveling in late Dec 2007 or early 2008. While a few months is what I have in mind initially, I could potentially continue with it for a much longer time.

An initial circuit I have in mind : Bangalore -> via Karnataka interiors -> Goa -> via Pune etc -> Gujarat -> Rajasthan -> Delhi -> Uttaranchal -> Himachal -> Ladakh. I am open to other ideas.

On any trip in India I would like to extensively document (blog) on the rapid changes taking place in the country.

Following the India trip a trip to Vietnam is what I have in mind, since I have been offered a place to stay (for as many days as I want) in the island of Phu Quoc. Others on my wishlist include Chile, Portugal, NZ, Kenya, Namibia, Costa Rica, various Pacific islands.

Having read a few other posts I might as well reveal additional details. Originally from India, lived in the US (San Francisco) for almost 10 years. Brown male but not "pesky" or "horny" - just normal :-). Have been to and camped in all National parks in Cali, and driven around AZ, NV, OR, and now want to see more. Have lived or traveled or worked with people from practically every country, and with every background. So no problems here dealing with anybody.

Beyond this trip I am planning to do a longer-term trip by "Couch Surfing" (see www.couchsurfing.com).
I think 2, but at the most 3, is a good team size for travel. If you an entrepreneurial bent that will be a bonus!
