hi. i'm heading to central america by way of costa rica in june for who knows how long. until i'm ready to come home i guess; unless it becomes home. it's my first trip alone and i'm excited to wander in silence and i'm excited to meet new friends. so here's an open invitation if anyone that will be in the same area wants to travel. as far as central america goes, i've only been to guatamala so if anyone has suggestions about places that shouldn't be missed, hostel or natural or otherwise, let me know...

hi, i´ve been travelling central america for 3yrs now, i would reccomend salvador, honduras and nicaragua, just depends what your looking for, people in these countries are great but you´ll need some spanish if you want to get off the beaten track, if you let me know what you want (beach, nature, cities, parties) i can suggest cities and where to stay in most of these countries, and how to get in and out. HeHe

Nomanche,
Im really keen to go to Central / South America, but Im having a little trouble deciding exactly where. I'd like to spend some time 'doing stuff' like hiking or seeing really cool things - but also some time relaxing on a beach maybe, enjoying a drink and socialising.

What would you recommend for me? Does anywhere spring to mind?

cheers.

Hey,

Well I'm planning to be in Peru from August 08 to September 03. I'm in the process of booking a trek through the Andes to end up in Machu Pichu. It will be 5 days, 4 nights and incredibly rewarding, i think! Also, you can do things like river rides in the amazon, or tons of eco tourism. I'd say Costa Rica is the best for eco tourism. If you want to join me in Peru let me know. It's going to be really fun, I want to try sandboarding too! And I'm planning to fly over the Nazca Lines which will be awesome.

Oh yeah.. I'm 22 female from Canada travelling solo.
