I've been driving a water tanker in the gas fields of northern Canada for the winter. Bought a car a couple days ago, and drove south to central BC today to sponge food off my mom and get a rough idea of the next stage. Have lived in latin america for 5 months, and Africa for a year. Thinking about the possibilities of taking the road to Panama then seeing about a barge to ecuador, and asking some friends if they wanted in on splitting the gas, max of 3 people (with gear, tents and sleeping bags kind of thing). Would like to volunteer or work along the way for room and board to extend the experience. Into the idealist stage right now, but it will happen within a month or two should it go ahead. Driving east to Edmonton from Prince george tomorrow for gathering, then going to go down through Montana and south to california, returning up the pasific coast, old trees, natural splendors, and friends from times past.
