Holds PhD in Packing

I have traveled in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Philippines, India, Nepal, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand!

Every country has something unique to offer!

Due to many requests I am adding countries in Asia that I have not been to: China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Tibet, Myanmar!

This resets the poll to a clean stage.

Question:
From this set of countries in Asia, which one do you like the most to travel in?

Choices:
Japan
Korea
Hong Kong
Philippines
India
Nepal
Singapore
Cambodia
Laos
Thailand
China
Malaysia
Taiwan
Tibet
Myanmar

Hong Kong is not its own country. Maybe you could replace it with China? It's not right that China didn't even make the list.

The reason I have not included China is because I have not been there yet!

I am planing a trip to China from Osaka, Japan!
I want to take a boat from Osaka to Shanghai and then overland to Yunnan province!

WHERE IS CHINA HOMER? Maybe you have not been there but many others have.
To forget Myanmar and Bhutan is one thing but China. It's like there's only 1.3 billion people here with a land mass that all but dominates the western hemisphere. I have traveled and lived in most of these countries and the only one in which I can handle for more than a few months is China. Laos is very cool but only for a vacation. Yes it's a subjective question but to leave out China is a case of total buffoonery. Cracking Up

India is perhaps the most fascinating - but not easy to travel in.

Nepal also - is quite fantastic.

Japan maybe the most interesting and also easy to travel in.

Back country Korea is great for Buddhist temples.

Thailand great for beaches.

Yeah - every place has its good and bad points.

Thailand...still has amenities, but not overly so. Plenty of nice scenery, but not too spoiled. Plenty of ways to travel but all interesting enough to frustrate and amuse. Diving, trekking, beaches, food, diving

And even if you think it sucks, you can still get the cheapest flights to wherever you want to go!

Hi,

May I know why isn't Malaysia on of the countries listed?

It is also found in Asia. It has many beautiful islands like Sipadan, Perhentian, Langkawi, Tioman and many others.

It has the lovely hills and tallest mountain Mount Kinabalu.

The biggest cave in the world-Deer Cave which can fit a Boeing is located in Mulu, Sarawak in Malaysia.

Food is cheap and really affordable! There is such a wide variety of food found there. Chinese, Indian, Muslim, Western food, Italian and Japanese, Korean are easily found in the city!

I like to travel Malaysia and East Peninsular Malaysia for nature as Sabah and Sarawak has many places still unspoilt and still keeps its nature charm.

Maggie

Because this is all about Igor Berger's countries that he has visited. Hence the skewed country poll..

*yawn*

Well, if you are going to make it all the way out to India and Nepal you should at least include the countries along the way: Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka Big Grin

I have added a few countries as requested by fellow travelers, even though I started this thread with a statement, “Which countries do you like the best from a list of these countries,” referring to a list of countries that I have been to.

So to be politically correct I have included some other countries.
I hope I do not need to include every country in Asia for this poll to be correctly surveyed.
Disclamer: This is not a scientific poll, and it will not be published in National Senses Bureau.

Any comments are welcomed!

That's fine with me, just so long as you're aware that this quiz would be about as unpolitically correct in China as you can get (referring to Tibet and Taiwan as countries).

Well we are trying to be democratic here.
And when I say politically correct, I mean globally speaking.
But to prevent World War 3, I acknowledge that Tibet and Hong Kong are not a country but a Chinese Autonomous Region. I did include them in this poll because we are talking about places in Asia.
Maybe to please China I should have said, "What land do you like the best in Asia?"

As far as Taiwan goes, it is a country, unless U.N. declares it otherwise.

Yes Felix, I did forget Indonesia.
I am far from perfect.
But to restart the poll one more time would be contra productive.

So we will count the votes for Indonesia manually.
I hope I do not run out of toes and fingers in the process of counting.

I do appreciate all of your contributions to this unscientific poll.

But looks like Thailand is loosing out!

We need to get static, skobb, and the rest of the Suk 11 to come here and cast a vote for Thailand.

It only got one vote, out of 17.
