Despite all my worries about getting the exact visa for China that I wanted, i managed to get a 12-month, multi entry visa, at 90 days per entry. I used the mychinavisa.com service and it was totally painless.

Leaving for Beijing Sept 2!!!

Congratulations it must be a relief. I have just recently got my residence permit so I know what a relief getting the right paperwork is.
I am getting the impression that things are running a bit smoother now. Both the visa agents and the immigration people now seem to know what is required and times for processing have reduced. It is still easier to get your visa done in your home country by the looks of things.
