The Central Market is full of photo ops. The Russian Market has more souvenirs plus a great selection of CDs and DVDs.

I am fond of the food at Teukei Bar and Banana Bar. Phnom Penh is a great place for French food. The riverside is where the fancy, foreign-owned places are, such as the FCC (which has pretty good food and drink, but at Western prices).

The Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum is a depressing place, but it's a must-see in my opinion. The place punches you in the gut, metaphorically speaking, by forcing horrific reality onto you.

I second that. I read about the prison beforehand which really put it all into perspective. If you have the time I'd recommend it if you do plan to go. They sell them all over SEA cheap: Voices from S-21.
