I found this ticket MAD-BKK for 761€ to fly in september on thai airways. It was the cheapest I could find (and I looked everywhere). Should I go for it or wait a little more to see if some better deals come out?

Are there any other Asian carriers that serve Madrid? How about Cathay Pacific or Korean Air, usually they are cheaper than Thai Air. Thai Air (TG) is pretty good but known for being the cheapest airline.

Check out some of the websites for other airlines that serve Spain and see what they offer. Avoid leaving on Fridays, weekends or holidays because usually these flights are more expensive. Also, check a few days before and after your desired date to see if the fare changes.

Usually airlines lower the price of their flights after the first week in September. Does Iberia have connections to Asia? Europe Cheap Tickets (www.airGorilla.com) or Kayak (www.kayak.com) can offer some different prices.

Good luck.

If that price is a return inclusive of taxes, it is a good price.
If it is just one way, Gulf Air have Athens to BK for a bit over E400 and you could see if you could hunt up a Madrid to Athens connection, or alternately to Amsterdam as Gulf fly there too if pricing becomes better.

Correction!

Thai Air (TG) is NOT known for being the cheapest airline!

The NOT must have fallen out when I was typing. Sorry.

Madrid has very bad connections to Asia, well, to the rest of the world pretty much except for latin america. Thai is the only airline linking spain and the far east. Singapore used to fly here too I think, but they don't anymore.
I've looked on airline websites (BA, Finnair, Swiss, Air France, KLM, Lufthansa, etc, etc) and the prices don't get any better that the 761€ with TG. However, just a few weeks ago I saw this fare for around 700 (or less, I don't remember) flying in June with Qatar airways, but I can't find anything similar for Septmber and qatar airways doesn't let you tickets departing from MAD in their website.
I guess I'll just go for the thai ticket. I hope nothing cheaper comes out later, hehe. Oh and by the way, it is return and taxes included
