Hey!

Im right now in Japan as part of my big trip. From here me and my girlfriend are planning to go to South Korea and from there the idea was going to China

But we are listening lots of bad stories about visas now because of the olympics. So I wanted to ask you, what alternatives do you think we have for travelling from South Korea?

I was thinking that maybe was other interesting way to arrive to southeast Asia, like going to Taiwan and Philipines or something like that, but I know nothing about how to do it

Thanks!

I would suggest flying.

Okay, okay. Try checking here as well. Lots of options. The cheapest options seem to be Hong Kong, Taipei, Cebu, Manilla, and Bangkok, but sometimes a few interesting surprises pop up. Happy trails!

I would definitely recommend Taipei. If you like Japan then you will probably like Taipei. I found it to be a kind of a cross between Japan and China. Chinese prices, with a Japanese feel.

Plus its pretty cheap, probably cheaper than Hong Kong.

You could also go to Shenzhen, which is part of mainland China, but its supposed to be easier to get a visa for.

Hi¡

Well, we have been checking and we cant find very interesting prices, everything is over 600 dollar Confused

Anyway, we will keep searching

(edit: that's right, we searched badly. We found interesting things for good prize in our second search. But lots of them are via Beijing, so a transit visa would be required anyway ...)
