Summer is not a good time to travel because it’s too hot and you might get your skin burned. If you are planning a trip to China, you should avoid these.
The first one is Turpan in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the far west of China. The city's record high touches 49.6C ( 121.3F ) with an average of 38 scorchers a year, and a strength-sapping 144 days in the ''hot'' zone. Like Death Valley in the United States, it lies in a depression - at 154m (505 feet) below sea level, it's one of the lowest inhabited places on Earth. Surrounded by searing arid terrain, Turpan itself is an oasis, famous for its grapes and its cool, snow-fed underground aqueducts.
The second one is Chongqing, where the hottest day ever recorded was 43.8C ( 110.8F ).
The third one is Wuhan, which has been famous as one of the “three furnaces” in China.
If you intend to visit these places, you’d better go in winter. Otherwise, you should get yourself some really good sun-cream to protect your skin.

yes but then again Shenzhen with 35Deg C and 85% humidity tests the patience unless you are used to it (which I am).
Most of China is hot at the moment and I am not so sure it will cool down any for the Olympics.
