Hi was wondering how do i get from hong kong to macau.
the cheapest way? by land if there is, will it be cheaper?
and i'll be staying at Li's hostel, at nathan road, they charged 70 usd for 2 nights, is the price okay?

ok walk to the star ferry building and take one of the ferries across the water to reach macau. it takes about an hour, and is by far the easiest way to get there. hit the dog track if you can it is alot of fun, but then all of macau is fun. you will have a great time.

as for the mansions on nathan road. 70 for two nights could be good depending on the quality of the room. for the mansions though this is a fairly premium price. my usual stay costs usd25. my last room in hong kong cost me usd10 but it was a closet with a shared bathroom.

Cheapest at about US$18 to go on a week day.

are these places safe? i heard people would grab you in LoWu commercial shopping centre?

Ferry from HK to Macau is HK$141 each way (about US$18.20). It's fast. Once in Macau, grab a bus route map from the Tourist Information Centre in the ferry terminal. Macau is small and easy to get around. I'll be in Macau May 20-24, and will make a day trip to HK one of those days! Can't wait!
