How much money do i need to bring to live comfortably in Thailand (and a week or 2 spent in Cambodia and Vietnam)?

By comfortably I mean staying at a decent hostel/hotel, eating enough to survive, getting around and drinking somewhat heavily.

Assuming we're talking private room, you're probably looking around 800~1,000 baht a night. Dining "locally", average 40~70 baht per meal.

Drinking is not an economical pastime in Thailand. This can really cut into the budget. But, then again, you won't have to spend money to go anywhere or do anything!

Yeah, if you are going to live comfortably, 1,000 baht a day. If you eat like a westerner, more like 2,000 baht a day.
