I am particularly interested to hear about arrangements in taking a vehicle through China.
I understand that there is a requirement to sign a 'contract' with the government stating exact itiniary and also to hire a guide from a travel agency and pay for all associated costs (their vehicle fuel, accommodation and food)

I am interested to know if someone has done this just what these costs add up to.

Also, experience of Central Asia, Nepal, India, Pakistan and Iran. Information on driving through, visa requirements, costs etc.

Any tips and advice whilst driving through these countries. What to take and what not to. etc etc
