Hi Friends,

I would like to know is it possible to get a vietnam visa in Cambodia or at the borders. I would also like to know how long it will take to get the visa currently.

You can easily get a visa for Vietnam in Phnom Penh. You can either go to the embassy yourself (all Motodops will get lost, although it is on a main street and clearly marked) or you can simply have your guesthouse take care of it for you, which is what I recommend.

You can not purchase a visa at the border.

I agree get it in Phnon Penh we did that earlier this year. Don't bother though asking the hotel ours was useless just let one of the many tour operators get it for you it costs hardly anymore money and it's in their interest to get it or they don't get paid. Easy Peasy.

If you happen to swing by Sihanoukville, I can recommend getting your visa there. There's a consulate on the main street, not far from the bus station, and the man in charge will give you the visa while you sit there talking to him. It's usually not a busy place.

I am also in favor of S-ville. It took like 10 minutes to get it. Plus it's a beach town, which is a nice break from the rest of cambodia.
