Holds PhD in Packing |
Hi Everyone,
Just wondering what clothes I need for SEA in the next three or four months (end of May to August)? I will be there during the monsoon obviously, but it will still be hot, so I'm assuming lightweight clothing, and not skimpy. However, do I need any cold weather clothes, like a fleece or khaki pants, etc? I'm in Oz right now, and want to ditch a lot of my clothes that I have with me right now, but I am confused about how cold it gets in the north, and also, people have been scaring me about bus air/con! Thanks. __________________________ If you don't know where you want to go, you can't get lost. My RTW blog is "Melting" |

When you're sitting around like as in a bus the body always feels the cold a bit more, so yeah if doing an overnight trip in an airconditioned bus it could feel a bit cool.
Pair of Jeans, one windcheater and socks to put on should suffice though and you have it pretty much right with what else you intend taking. |

SEA is hot hot hot. As gonorth mentioned, you might need a light jacket or fleece for overnight bus rides as well as trips to higher ground (Mt. Kinabalu, Cameron Highlands in Malaysia). Other than that, you're best off in lightweight clothing. Short sleeves and shorts will be good, but have at least 1 pair of long trousers for visits to mosques and more upscale restaurants.
