The Three Gorges is a great valley with a most splendid landscape on the Yangtze River and it is one of the ten most famous scenic spots and historical sites in China. It begins from Baidicheng Town (White King Town)in Fengjie County, Chongqing City and end in Nanjin Pass in YichangCity, Hubei Province, consisting of three sections:Qutang Gorges,Wu gorgeand Xiling Gorge, with a full length of 192 kilometers .

Zhangjiajie is situated in Hunan province . Zhangjiajie stretches 167 km from east to west, and 96 km from north to south . Zhangjiajie covers an area of 9,653 square kilometers, which accounts for 4.5 percent of Hunan province.
