The best month to visit Taj is December [or November to February].

December or January are the coldest months in India. And the best time to reach the Taj is early morning at 9 AM when the gates open. Sometimes the authorities do change the times but it does never goes beyond 10 AM.

Reach there by 8.45 AM and enter as soon as the gate opens. The adantages are:-

1. There is less crowd [a big relief]
2. The stone is cool so that you can sit on the ground and take the beauty of the monument in
3. By the time sun is over the head, your are through with the Taj
4. You can cover the Agra Red fort too in the same day and see other nothing so special places in Agra itself or infact, cover Fatehpur Sikri - a place of touristy importance.
