I'm backpacking for 3 months in SE ASIA (Thai/Lao/V'nam/Indo) and am just searching for some advice from those who have been there this time of year (I'll be there from late July through mid October).

What advice would you provide in regard to shoes/sandals to bring for the trip? I plan to do some hiking, but probably nothing too extreme. Hopefully most the hiking I will do is on trails in the area. But nonetheless, for the trip in generally, any advice on what type of sandals/shoes to bring and how many?

Cheers,
Cole

A pair of shoes such as the Moab Ventilator and a pair of quality sandals such as the Chaco Z/1. The shoes will end up staying packed for most of the trip!
