I’ll be taking off to Asia for 6 months later this year and I need some advice for travel within Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Burma. Any advice on the following would be appreciated:

- any literature or movies about the countries I should definitely check out before I go

- the one or two sights/experiences that just really shouldn’t be missed in each country

- anything that I’d absolutely have to book in advance before I get there

- any advice on minimizing air travel starting from Sri Lanka and onwards trough India, then Bangladesh, and finally Burma. I know I won’t be able to overland from Bangladesh to Burma.

Indian Domestic Airlines that fly between India and Columbo.

Indian airlines also flies to Dhaka.

The shortest route from Sri Lanka through would be Columbo- Chennai-Kolkatta

Or you want to save $$ take a train from Chenai to Kolkatta.

I would also Check Bangkok air and Thai Air as they fly to all the countries Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India and Mynmar.
