^^ I saw that, yes.... I'm all "Wouldn't it be kicking to do Basement Bhangra for New Year's. (checking website) Oh! They're doing one! ..... but in San Francisco.... WAH!"

Oh right, you're on retreat then, Madhu. Well you know if you ever make it to New York, you know who to PM if you want a bhangra dance partner Big Grin

Anyway she may play the west coast again soon.

Rekha was key to bringing bhangra to New York's club scene. It hit London big, but it didn't just filter over to New York, she worked hard and built relationships with other Desi djs to bring it here. And yes, she's also an advocate of women who spin and women who rap.

Hello,

Here are some that have always kept me inspired about the world and lifted me from some of my darkest moments.

"Only a fool reacts, a Warrior acts."
-- Quote from Socrates from the Peaceful Warrior

"The world is not beautiful, therefore it is."
-- Keiichi Sigsawa

"To see a world in a grain of sand,
A heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And Eternity in an hour."
-- William Blake (I know its not short but its inspiring)

"Simplicity is golden. Appreciate it and you will be rewarded."
-- Me

"To be clever enough to make all that money, one must be stupid to want it."
-- Looking for the Author

"Paradox - Life is mystery. Stop wasting time trying to figure it out. Humor - Keep a sense of humor about everything, especially yourself. Change - Know that nothing stays the same."
-- Peaceful Warrior

"Life is brighter when its shared."
-- Me

Lots more but I'll save those for another time Wink.

Have a nice day.
