"Go big or go home"

"There's no 'I' in team, but there is in 'win'"

to follow up on something KanadianKid said:

Lady: Sir, if you were my husband, I would poison you
Churchill: Madam, if you were my wife, I would drink it

And lastly:

"When are people going to learn-democracy just doesn't work!"
-Homer Simpson

The Epigramist in me must speak so hear are a few....

The sceret to life is keep breathing

Flexablity is the cornerstone to progress

Scars are a reminder of somebody's mistake

A slut is just a female stud

One of the hardest things to believe is the abysmal depth of human stupidity

of course there was very little progress made under communism; a tolitarian political religeon is incompatable with free investigation.

You'll never come sucking your thumb

Freedom means being able to say "I won't" --Ghandi

Using the power of government to take wealth form the person who earned it and give it to some one else isn't charity, it is stealing

A desire not to butt in to other people's bussiness is at least 80% of all human wisdom and the other 20 isn't very important

Wealth is a tool of freedom, but the pursuit of wealth is the way to slavery

can it ever be moral for a group to do that which is immoral for a member of that group to do?

thinking we could definately combine this thread with the homer simpson thread but my favorite is this in response to "so what do you want to do for your career"
"i don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed...or buy anything sold or processed..or process anything sold bought or processed, or repair anything sold bought or processed. you know as a career i don't want to do that"

I wish i could say that was an original but I gots to thank Lloyd Dobbler for that one

maybe tomorrow i'll want to settle down, until tomorrow I'll just keep moving on.

The best Homer Simpson quote ever, in my opinion, and my favorite saying ever, is "Alcohol; the cause of, and the solution to, life's problems."

One is changed by what one loves...

Brosky

Somewhere are places where we have really been,
dear spaces
Of our deeds and faces, scenes we remember
As unchanging because there we changed...

Auden

Scientists have shown that the moon is moving away at a tiny yet
measurable distance from the earth every year. If you do the maths, you
can calculate that 85 million years ago the moon was orbiting the earth
at a distance of about 35 feet from the earth's surface. This would
explain the death of the dinosaurs. The tallest ones, anyway.

A lot of underpriveleged people around the world might agree with this:

'Life is hard and then you die.'

'I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.'

I just read this in a Poem from the argentinien writer Jose Luis Borges.

"Solo una cosa no hay, es el olvido".

A rough translation:

"There is only one thing, that does not exist. It is the forgetfulness."

from his poem: Everness
