Three Weeks ago I left northern Alberta on a expedition of self discovery, to connect with like minds and spend some time in nature.

Medicine Ways "World Healing Ceremonies with Tibetan and First Nations Healers and Teachers" - Having the opportunity to sit and meditate with the monks, do a sweat and befriend First Nation Healers, while camping in an amazing place "Xatsu'll Village" I am grateful.

Arriving on Vancouver Island, I headed north to a "Rainbow Gathering" (Having seen a flyer at a hemp store in Edmonton, a Meditation for Earth/Peace looked really interesting, and a safe bet to feel home) Another beautiful spot, filled with days of Walking around, great discussion, establishing connections, eating , naked swimming!, and nights of group "ohhhhhhmms" , drumming, playing, good cheer and green

Connecting with some great earthy types, packed up hiked out and travelled south to Cathedral Grove, where we were wecomed into the activist camp. Walking around the grandfather forests, climbing a 180ft tree blind, breathing extremely good air real calm like.

These were my first experiences at true Communal living, and have to say the reaction overwhelmingly positive, forging deep connections, and allowing me the opportunity to be a slice of a family of people (brothers and sisters) who share the same awareness, while fostering growth.

I figured I had to touch base with my reality, starting the travel back to work (no hurry), nighting in vancouver at the Canby hostel (first as well) through Whistler heading north the next day and that's where I crashed my car 11 pm 10 minutes outside a place called Lillooet (I am O.K). Stranded for a couple days in town while I took care of things and packed up all my stuff.

This morning it would have been true that I was unsure how or by whom it was going to happen, but intent on making it back to Prince George.

Getting out to the highway, figuring as a intro to hitchiking I would make a cool sign, and got whooshed away along with my "load" of gear, 2 stops later arriving to startle my brother..

Having time for thought making a bump on a town for a couple days got me thinking.

I aim to be not so materialistic and consumerist in my life and way of living. Living Simpler.
Feeling a sense of liberty arriving here, all I have to do is stick out a thumb, and believe human nature.
Carrying too much stuff in my car, 50 percent not used, when my backpack is all that suffices.
A smile and honesty goes a long way.
Faith and Trust, this experience has made me a stronger person, and although unfortunate, by no means can I allow to be detrimental.

This is my Spiritual Travel.
I suppose I needed to clarify it to myself.

In 19 days I will be startng a new chapter in my life, that being 6 month program Ontario/Honduras for Canada World Youth. I have to use this time to learn Spanish, replenish my cash reserve, and be ready.
