I'm talking about the place in San Marcos, Guatemala - has anyone been there and done a course? I was on Atitlan a few years ago, and I loved it - now I'm thinking about returning to spend a few weeks at Las Piramides, but I can't find any accounts of anyone who's actually done the course!

I lived in Pana for months, and seldom met anyone who had gone there. I met a few people.

It attracts an older type new age crowd who think that meditating under a pyramid is a really good idea. All of San Marcos is a New Age haven for relatively wealthy people.

That's probably why I never saw many people who went to the place. They popped into town once in a while, then went back to their enclave in San Marcos.

Atitlan is a really weird place spiritually. It either strengthens you, or it leads you onto depravity. When the moon is full, I swear you feel the universe bearing down upon you. Maybe that's because the lake reflects the light onto the crater walls, multiplying the light.

They say there is a monster in the lake. Maybe someday they will find it.

For those who don't know the agenda of Las Pyramides, here is a source.

Las Pyramides has quite a wide range of facilities: communal kitchen, library, sauna, vegetarian restaurant (with amazingly good cookies and croissants) and bakery.

The Moon course takes 1 month (from full moon to full moon) and it’s divided into four weeks, each one with a different objective of learning:
First week: metaphysic, dreams, charkas and different dimensions.
Second week: reincarnation, past lives, life after death, astral traveling and astral projection.
Third week: astrology, numerology, healing, tarot reading….
Forth week: a five-day retreat of silence and fasting.

This person liked it quite a bit.
