Sorry to hear of your current state of affairs but your right in saying what doesn't kill us can only make us stronger.Hopefully you pull through and continue to share your presence with us on this board as youve been quite an active member on this board and a pleasure to converse with.

While posting this it made me think of the whole concept of life and death,there just seems to be so much mystery to it,for all we know it could just be a whole new cosmic world to be discovered or an opportunity to go "further" as the pranksters would say!.

Anyways hoping you the best of luck for the future.

It is interesting how "health" suddenly becomes a top of the list priority...especially when it has been taken away from you.

I am under a Doctors care and will know more by months end.

Hi once again to peacemaker...Howdy and Eowyn who all have brightened my day thru PM and personal notes.

I am happy to report....

oldhippy has toed the line....and it is not my time to step over just yet!

So...what happened?

I was under treatment for a bacterial infection when complications arose.

The original problem was addressed...but it left my body totally defenseless to an even uglier bacteria that not only lived thru it...but soon took over!

I had nothing left in me to fight it off!

I lost 40 lbs in one week...mostly water...was delerious...couldn't eat or sleep...and felt like death warmed over.

My regular life grinded to a hault as I couldn't take care of myself anymore...I couldn't take a shower without sitting down...couldn't walk or drive, and couldn't even type as I was too dizzy to think or concentrate.

The problem was finally correctly diagnosed...and I am now 80% back to feeling OK once again!

I am sorry if you all thought I was a gonner...but when I wrote this post in an attempt to explain my absense...I felt as it could have gone either way!

The one thing I know from this...I must finish my story, before movin on down the road of life!

Thats why I say to you...

Do it now! You never know when you may no longer be able to make your own decessions about your life course.

I'm glad to hear that you've pulled through. I'm not a frequent purveyor of these particular board, but you've been a staple around here and have a great niche. I feel like you've been around a long time but you show as though you've only been a member since February? Is that right?

Regardless, I'm happy that health is returning.

Thanks skobb for your kind words...re: your question on length of my boots membership...in Feb boots changed servers or format, or something like that.

My browser had trouble with the new change over...so to fix the problem...I simply rebooted, and started fresh.
