The Vacant Ashram

A close friend of mine and almost a neighbour has devoted many years of her life to the idealistic concept of building an ashram. It is now finished and ready to go but she now lacks the energy and inspiration as to what to do next. A spiritual healer has been using it occasionally but that is now coming to an end as well. She has even tried to give it away to the Buddhists but they have graciously turned down the offer.

Out of concern to her calling, I post this message. I suppose I’m asking is there anyone out there who is looking for a place to study the worlds beyond or an opportunity for quiet reflection and meditation. The hostess, the word that I use instead of a variety of others, is very eclectic in outlook and has studied many themes. Her current interest is with a psychological technique called family constellations.

I’m putting up this notice for her so if anyone is interested they will need to contact me and we shall see what happens next. I do have the occasional visitor myself but my visitors usually do some work in return for keep on my tree grower’s farm. I even have the occasional visitor who may visit me for a rustic Australiana experience. I suppose in a way, this isn’t too different to what my friend is offering.

We are located in south east Queensland about 100 miles north of Brisbane, Australia.

I'll keep your address in case I roll over to australia!!!

Hers too.

Unfortunately, Ashrams usually grow from small to large with the help of a Guru, so she needs to find a Guru....

Hmm...well, you could get some healers: energy, somatic, cognitive, holistic chefs, acupuncturists and offer classes, work on people in the community, put together a retreat program: food, healing, being in nature, meditation, yoga, etc....

sounds like you need a resident director, resident healers, teachers etc...how is everything going now?

Yes things still are basically unchanged although it is used very occasionally for different workshops. The lady who owns it is away overseas and probably is still very low in energy but some how some day things might be resolved. Circumstances are changing and there is still some hope.
