hi there,

we're a small group of people from the UK who are travelling to israel and the palestinian territories overland this summer. we go with the intention to learn about non-violence, ourselves, the world and what individuals can do to effect social change.

we will be working with various organisations along the way and in the region as well as spending time with marginalised communities (such as the negev bedouin and the ethiopian communities) and people from all sides of the conflict as well as taking in the sights and cultures.

Best of luck with your trip! I did the Israel/Palestine thing a few years ago and it was a life changing experience. Though "illegal", I suggest trying to visit a Palestinian refugee camp. It will give you a totally new perspective.

Also, I'm not sure if the University of Bethlehem is open again, but it is an amazing experience to speak with a class. English professors there always happy to have visitors.

In Israel, there is a lovely church on the top of Mt. Olives that gave us a warm welcome and offered interesting discussion. Sorry, don't remember the name of it.
