If an angel came to you while you slept and told you, that being with God meant submitting to God, and submitting to God meant leaving this world, would you do it? Would you willingly, not physically, leave this world to be where your heart tells you that you belong? Or would you be too afraid

I'd wonder what drugs must have been slipped into my drink if I had such a hallucination!

One thing that gives me fear are individuals who would end their lives because of a bad dream....

Religion is the scariest thing of all!

I'd be to scared.
Not that Im sure I believe in angels or 'God' or the devil - but how could you be sure it wasnt the devil?
Thats not the sort of thing I'd imagine God would ask someone to do.

In saying that, I dont think I live my life according to my fears - I try not to. But theres a big difference between living according to fears and dying regardless of them....

If you are talking "letting go of fear" and totally trusting in God...dude, go for it!

For: If you have nothing...you have nothing to lose!

Shed all your ballast [fear, negativity], and all that holds you down, by letting go of all negative aspects of your life you dislike in yourself...admit to all your short comings and seek to find pure humility...and then ask forgiveness of your self!

Know this..God can only fill an empty vessel...not one that is overloaded with crap!

Clean your house first...then invite God in!

Choose to fill any void in your life with doing good acts for yourself and others and totally commit to seeking/choosing "the light" to guide you.

However... [just in case if I read this wrong], if you are talking about taking your life...to be with God...you've missed the whole point of why you chose life to begin with, which is:

To figure this one out!

Anything that tells you that you must die to reach your reward in life...should immediately to be thought to be suspect!

Don't wimp out...hang in there and do the good fight.

choose light...do not chose darkness! For once the light goes out, you'll only see the fool that you are!

By the way...do be careful with who you share these thoughts with.

Someone just might take them the wrong way!

You are on this earth to learn and teach, NO angels would tell you to end your time here before you are destined to go.

My heart tells me I only belong where I ONLY have to submit to myself. Smile

No one worthy of my worship would ask me to submit my free will and mind!

I think the person who started this discussion didn't mean dying because it says, "not physically" leaving.

If you mean to live by God or God consciousness, or Great Spirit or Goddess or however you name it, but still living in this world, I think yes, it's good. But I also think you can do so and NOT leave, in any sense. I feel there has been too much put forth in too many religions about the physical world being some kind of prison or trap...you can live completely by your heart and spirit without "leaving" or even giving up the world (as in, things like food or music or finding a lifemate or making art, making love, etc.) That's what I believe.

About submitting, the kind of "giving over" to a "something" that is more than yourself I don't think means giving up will at all, perhaps in part it means just viewing individuality as not the most important part of being alive...but I don't know yet exactly what it means.
