Hello!

I am planning on doing the camino de santiago in May. Can anyone tell me how many days to allow for the last 100 km? (only doing 100 km). Any useful advice? Thanks!

Take a look at the earlier thread on this site for URLs of very helpful sites, such as those posted by SimonM:

I'm not going till July, and it will be my first time, but I've figured out that the time it takes depends on what shape you're in, how heavy your pack is, what the weather is like (slower if it's a torrential rain, faster if it's cool and dry), and which route you take (there are many Caminos that end in Santiago). Finding out how long it takes you is part of the pilgrimage, part the discovery of who you are on the greater pilgrimage. Some people (I'm guessing people in the prime of health who have plenty of hiking experience) find 30km-40km per day perfectly reasonable. Others are happy if they make 10km per day, taking time to explore, to meditate, and to take siestas. Average seems to be somewhere between 30km and 10km/day, but what's "average" in a four-day rainstorm? What's "average" when you get lost and wander around going the wrong way for a day or so? Not knowing is part of the magic. The person you are most likely to meet on the Camino is yourself.
