I have plotted and planned. Schemed and manipulated with cunning. Now I'm very close to realizing all that.

I have found work in London(company pays acco/ living exps and a salary ) in central london(Kensington station area) for at least three as much as six months.

1. What do I do? (I was thinking of Northern Spain, Ireland/ Scotland,Amsterdam and of course, Paris..any other suggestions?)

2. Whom do I do it with? Im reasonably indian(my last three female friends were Asian, White and salvadorean) and , reasonably single and reasonably able bodied.

3. How much time/ money does each place take to do justice to it..for example, how long should each trip to amsterdam last?

4. as a person grown used to US laws(Ive lived in Californa, New york, wisconsin and most places in between, sometimes happily) and customs, what's different about london/UK that I ought to know about?

5. Please also give me advice on "when people say "..." they are really saying "..." (yeah I'm socially inept like that).

Thanks.

Hey Rambo....Good to have you in London..Hope you're enjoying your stay here...

1. Ther are many many posts here on what to do and see in London.... My personal faves include teh British Museum, Tate Modern, National Gallery, London Eye and Camden Market....

2. Enjoy it with whoever you like...London is a great City to explore on your own, stay at a hostel and meet a bunch of people or just hita few bars and tal to people..

3. Each place has its own merits and demerits...Amsterdam for example I would say 3 nights and you could get a decent Amsterdam Experience..Barcelona I think needs 5-7, Berlin a good 5 days, Paris 5-7 days whilst somewhere like Brugge can be good for just a weekend.

4. Nothing too out of the ordinary here...

5. When people say "football" they mean REAL football not the American variety! Wink

Like I said, enjoy your stay in London, if you're around for a length of time, I'll be about and happy to meet for a beer or 2 if you like...just let me know...we might be able to get a few others involved!

Hi Southamton,

Good to hear from the londoners.

could you tell me currently, 1. what's the hottest west end show i can get tickets to..(one or the other...) , is it the Cricket season yet? if so where can one watch a cricket match ? I invested GBP 10 in a timeout guide to London bars. tell me i didnt waste my money, Where are the bollywood films here? I know there's one film I want to see in current release. I was planning nevarro pamplona region in spain. is there something one should do in preperation (apart from knowing basque) to go here? and where's the local Koreatown? I'm in mood for kimchi.

Othervice London is completely awesome . people speak a different language and it's the most fun one can have outside of being in new york..
