Ok, this might seem an idiotic question considering all the existing sites on London clubs.
The thing is though, I don't want to go to the newest, fanciest, most hip or what ever club in London. I don't like electronic music, or at least not most of it; so this excludes house, transe, etc., I'm more of a rock girl. I have no need to go crazy after a boring job, and don't need my senses to be shocked every 2 mins. Any advice on good clubs for those of us who aren't the hippest, and just want some good old rock?

Get yourself to Camden. Plain and simple. Rock and Indie nights galore.

Try the Camden Underworld, I've had some fantastic nioghts out here. The Worlds End pub is located above it and again, some decent music to be had in there.

If you like your music hevay in teh rock stakes try Teh Electric Ballroom.

I've had some good nights out at the Purple Turtle at teh bottom end of Camden High STreet by Mornington Crescent tube station. Their events and club nights are always changing. Check here for details.

There's plenty of live music abound teher as well, decent rrock and indie styled gigs abound at Koko, formally known as the Camden Place, The Barfly and Monarch host some decent bands and have club nights as well.

That should do you for starters, none of it dance orientated, all of it indie or rock based. All of it brilliant fun.

Also, read Time Out London for happening events of your taste, and go to those clubs.

Yeah totally camden is a good call, but if you after big rock gigs you need to scope out the sites for Brixton academy, hammersmith apollo, Shepherds bush empire, and the london apollo.
Heres the brixton one http://www.brixton-academy.co.uk/
