We're off to Crete in 2 weeks, so I've had a look at free mp3 lessons but haven't quite found what I'm after (there are some good courses aimed at expats and others which include Ancient Greek, but not so much elementary stuff for tourists).

I wonder: could we compile a few basic lessons, including greetings, numbers and a few vital but elementary phrases, which native speakers could then translate and upload as audiofiles so they could be integrated into the BNA destination guides/logues? If the lessons are exactly the same for each language and the vocabulary is kept to the bare minimum, it should be easy for people to pick up a few phrases while on the road.

I for one could offer German (although I've never recorded audiofiles before...)
