I applied for a job at IBM and i passed the first phase of the interview. The second one is more difficult as i have to conversate infrench with a native french speaker . It will be next tuesday.

my intention is to find some keywords, some letter of intention (in french of course), to read them before and to get familiarized with the terms.

although my french is quite good , my writing sucks a little bit. is there anyone who knows french better than i do , to point me some directions , some url's where i could find french letters of intention for the programming field.

thank you very much!

Hi Andrei. I'm only a rudimentary French speaker/writer and don't have specific links to offer; however, I thought I would point out that you can use Google Advanced Seach to limit results to by language (e.g. French). You can always use something like Babelfish to do query string translation, too, if you're not sure of the French equivalent. Just a thought...

Good luck w/the 2nd interview.

je visite souvent un autre forum, ce qui est en français. il a un site pour travailler à l'étranger - http://www.voyageforum.com/v.f?forum=38; bon, france c'est pas vraiment "à l'étranger" dans ce cas, mais peut-être il sera utile.

bonne chance Smile

You are better off, if you take the time to write on a piece of paper some questions and appropriate answers to fit the reply.

many years ago my parents hired someone to teach me the language, but i didn't pay much importance to it . i haven't spoke french for about 10 years , perhaps i didn't need it , i don't know, but i went to france in 2004 and 2005 and i was 'forced' to squeeze my french out of my brain. i meet lot's of french people who told me that my french is really good, and that gave me courage to keep studying this language. plus the similarities between romanian and french.

unfortunatelly the technical terms are different. (mouse=souri, hard disk=disc dur, software=logiciel, database=base du donnee, etc. ). now i really feel sorry for not keeping study french. looking for a job english is a must and french will be soon.

thank you all for your help, you were so much kind !
