Hi there
I just left Cape Town and loved it. I'm jealous that you're getting 2 weeks there. I only did the obvious really, Table Mountain, Robben Island etc. There is plenty to do and there are loads of tour operators that can sort you out with anything you need. Head for the Lion Head Lodge in Sea Point if you want to organise any trips. We hired a car for the day and drove down to Cape Point stopping at Camps Bay on the way. On the way back we stopped at a small holiday town called Muizenberg that is worth a visit, especially if you get there for tea time (go to Empire Cafe, the food is out of this world). Other things you might want to consider are visiting Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Chavonnes Battery at the V&A Waterfront, Mariners Wharfe in Hout Bay, Rhodes Memorial in Rondesbosch, Boulder Beach to see the penguins, 2 day trip to the winelands of Stellenbosch and a tour of Cape Flats. I did none of these but spoke to a few people who had and none of them got bad reports. Guess it depends what you're in to. Oh and if you have a bit of cash then they operate Cage Diving with Great White sharks. Have a great trip |

I've been all over and highly recommend Cape Town. It's a very unique and special place.

I think Ian means "the Olympia cafe" in Kalk Bay, and he is right it is fantastic, also check out "Cape to Cuba" across the road.
There are tons of things to do in CT and it really depends on what you are into. At www.southafricalogue.com myself and Ben have reviewed many of the attractions, take some time to look around, and let me know if you have any specific interests. |

What you know about car hire in cape town? Do have to have 2 years on your license, as thats what i've heard.
Also is it possible to get to the winelands without car or joining a whistlestop mickey mouse tour. cheers |

Most car rental place require the driver to be older than 24 for insurance purposes, but there are a few budget places that specialise in student cars: http://www.southafricalogue.com/travel-tips/car-rental-...own-rent-a-merc.html
You can get to Stellenbosch or Spier by train and then use the vinehopper http://www.adventureshop.co.za/vinehopper.htm |

Thanks for the links...
Driving to Cape Argulhas is high on our list. Can we make it there and back in a day and see some stuff too without being rushed? |

Its a 2.5 to 3hour drive and a very lovely one.
I wouldn't want to drive there just for the day, but it is certainly possible. Hermanus is a nice place to visit on the way, but only if you stay over the night in Cape Agulhas |
