Hi There

J bay is lovely, I hope you're a surfer!

Clothes are not cheap in South Africa!!. But as you are coming with the almighty pound, you may well save some moolah, if you buy from some of the less expensive (imported from china) stores like, Mr Price or Woolworths etc. Sports wear, should be fine and cheaper than the UK, especially for Rugby gear (as you may of heard its quite popular Smile I would definitely everything in Cape Town, or another major city, before heading to J-Bay

Sailer not a surfer which is sad considering the place although I fancy trying either sandsurfing or kitesurfing in my spare time.

No chance to go else where first though as flying straight to PE and getting picked up there.

One the rugby front, any games about from the internationals on in june?

when i was there april 2004, J bay had lots of discount (seconds) surf stores which where quite cheap, although quality wasn't high

check out the mexican restaurant, very nice fajitas, and a cheap shooter to go with it, stay of the 'stroh 80' rum
as it'll knock your head off, and tastes horrible

the hostel at the west end of the bay is pretty cool, nice bar and relaxed atmosphere.
