What major sports are being played in South Africa in October? I love seeing local matches whenever I'm traveling. Any recommendations? Also, I'm a woman traveling on my own so I'm assuming it's not the best idea to go solo -- in that case, any ideas on ways to join a group? The major cities I'll be in are Jo'burg/Pretoria, PE, and Cape Town, along with various places on the garden route.

As far as i know the Currie Cup will still be in progress... which is the rugby provincial cup, i would advise you support the Sharks... my team!
