Get out to Kruger National Park.. a few hours drive from Johannesburg. Great wildlife viewing.. and plentiful white rhinos, from what i have been told.

As previously mentioned, the Kruger National Park is awesome (if youre JHB side). Sanbona Wildlife Reserve (3hr drive from Cape Town) is one of the hottest tourist attractions at the moment. Its the first reserve in the Western Cape that has the 'Big Five'.

For my money, the parks in northern KZN are far better. You still get to see all the animals you would see in Kruger without falling over a other visitors all the time. Plus, if I am not mistaken, they are cheaper.
