I have 17 days in south africa and botswana and am trying to decide a last minute itenerary. Not sure where and how to spend my time. lookin for advice as to where is better game viewing ; s. africa or botswana in Feb? is it worth going to kruger if i go to botswana? here are some a few other question/concerns. id greatly appreicate any info for all of you that might help. *is it safe to self tour in these countries, public transport? Easy to get around w/o a car? *is it worth renting a car in s. africa t oget around? *is it easy/cheap to book last minute fares getting into and out of botswana and S. africa? R flights usually available from Maun or Kasane? *is it easy to cross border to Vic falls from Botswana? *better to book a safari in advance or jsut figure it out on the ground?
